i mean i dont actually care about or play nintendo games enough to know anything but like. i there's some inherent cognitive dissonance in being like "oh this is a great video game made by this company i'm going to give my money to" but also "this company has a demonstrable hostility and consistent pattern of fucking fans and content creators over".
think about it. maybe it's worth spoiling a story when it's written in blood. your game experience might be disrupted by this meta knowledge but you also don't seem to be connecting your giving money to them having the money to screw people with
