opus magnum is ostensibly a "programming game"; i can't argue with this.

i was trying to figure out how to sequence this because the salt creator works on the assumption that it starts empty, but it's still holding salt at the beginning of the second iteration so it breaks the machine. i stared at it for a bit, then just added this big arm that whisks the leftover salt away. it works exactly six times. if you run it any longer it breaks, but six times clears the puzzle. memory leak is intended feature. works on my machine. that team has a couple other games you might be interested in:

  • TIS-100 -- a game where you restore core functionality to an esoteric 9 core RISC system so that you can read notes left to you by your uncle
  • Last Call BBS -- a love letter to BBS culture. I won't spoil it for you. But it's basically a bunch of games inspired by what you might find on a BBS.

the zachtronics solitaire collection has been The Worst for me i have it on pc and mobile and i've burnt so much time on it. especially in fortune's favor that variant is hellish (sawayama solitaire is a great vibey/relaxing variant)
