Playing Oracle of Seasons again for the first time in probably a decade, and it's been fun rediscovering its OST after mostly only listening to Link's Awakening's as far as GB Zelda OSTs go

One funny thing to me is that it tries to mantain a coherent composition/sound design approach compared to LA's, but every now and then you hear a glimpse of chiptune techniques built up over the years escape the simple sound design, like the more frequent use of single channel echo and more subtle volume fluctuations that make some themes just that more expressive

Also I had completely forgotten the interactive moments it has here and there, like right from the intro the volume increasing as you approach the screen the musicians playing the music at, good shit.
