Finally listening to this album as a whole and it's crazy to me how many formative songs in my childhood came from this alone. I had always known about Ney Matogrosso, who remained a prominent figure in brazilian pop culture until much later, but not about the album that launched him into stardom.
A really fun, bold and queer as fuck album (I mean look at that cover) making music out of renowned poems with really catchy and pretty melodies arranged in a mix of brazilian styles with classic rock and prog, truly tropicália at its best.
