Current Hyperfixation: Wizard of Oz

I use outdated technology just for fun, listen to crappy music, and watch a lot of horror movies. Expect posts about These Things. I talk a lot.

Check tags like Star Trek Archive and Media Piracy to find things I share for others.

Two characters (or groups) are intertwined by fate in a way that their luck is mirrored. For every good thing that happens to one, a bad thing happens to the other. Whenever one group rolls their dice, the game also applies the flipped result to the other at the same time.

There's a chassidic belief that there are only 600,000 souls and so everyone actually shares their soul with a bunch of other people like aspens growing out from the same root system. These people are connected at a spiritual level even if they never meet.

in reply to @graham's post:

make it like John Romero's DooM Co-op house rules where you play on the hardest difficulty so you have to work together to get to the goal but the last 5% of the map becomes deathmatch because only one of the 4 players can get the point from activating the exit

whatever dnd 2011 was had a crusader class in one of the supplements that with some synergies, iirc let you intercept the lowest roll of the team every other round.

but you couldn't choose which of your rolls the dm would apply it to, for that round
