i hate how literally every courier service will say "expected delivery today" up until the very last minute even when it's blindingly fucking obvious that they did not bother putting it on the truck
fedex is the worst about this bar none (have on multiple occasions had them say "expected today" when the package was in new mexico (i am in california)) but today ups is doing it to me. admit you fucked up dammit
I posted on Twitter about this a few months ago, and how funny I found USPS' particular version to be. They'll say "Your package is arriving today by 12:00 PM"
And when noon passes with no package, it'll say "by 4:00 PM." And when 4 passes with still no package (by this point you've already gotten your mail, so you Know it's not coming today), it'll say "by 8:00 PM" even though no mail truck in your neighborhood has ever run that late.
And then when 8 passes with no package, it'll just say "Your package is arriving." It struck me as amusingly passive aggressive. It's arriving, okay? Stop fucking asking.
