come join the Big Beautiful System! i'm sick to bastard death of online so i needed a little digital island to make a small community of, well, posters basically. my BBS is for posting. just hanging out. i have some fun plans for it so get in now to watch it grow :)

beginner friendly (feedback wanted)! download some terminal software that supports ANSI graphics (i recommend SyncTerm, or NetRunner)! or use the Web Terminal on my neocities site! have fun (see ya soon)!

bulletin board system! a modem and a list of systems to call was the way people got online in the 80s and 90s before the Web got big

I understand ansi would be strongly reccomended, but is it still useable in just like, ascii only? Idk if i will have the time but i have at least one ancient device i could connect to it for the bit

it's technically usable but.. lets say it's a more challenging user experience haha. and some mods i added straight up wouldnt work. i am actually working on an ascii only version, for those with antiques :)

God, thank you so much for this. The BBS experience never got fully replicated after they died. Forums came closest, but didn't even have all the cool things that boards had ten or twenty years prior. Really looking forward to hanging out in the message area.

hi! i'm magnesium from the bbs. i've run into some issues trying to connect. i can't tell if this is an issue with my wifi, or if the bbs is down, or what. i was able to connect for a bit by switching to a different wifi network, but the network failed and i haven't been able to connect again since.

i'm a little worried i've been, like, IP banned. that'd be disappointing but fine, but in that case the disconnect message should make it more clear that it's a matter of being banned, rather than a technical hiccup.

been having trouble with regular users getting caught in the auto ip banner, try connecting now. dont know that i have much control over the error messages sadly

hi! sorry to bother you, nicky, but it's happened again. i think that the root cause might be that if my internet craps out while i'm connected to the bbs, it won't let me connect again?
