Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time constantly pops back up into my mind because it feels equal parts "they had no clue how to end this so it turned into a Rise of Skywalker sort of situation with half-assed plotlines and rushed character development" and also "this might be some immensely subversive metatextual masterpiece that is in conversation with its own fandom, history, and viewers even more than The End Of Evangelion was."
I don't know if I'll ever be able to form a solid opinion on it because it's just so bizarre. It shifts from breathtakingly beautiful to mind-numbingly irritating on a dime.
Also why the fuck is it called 3.0+1.0 how dare Anno make me do math
