I like knowing that my job barely makes me enough to pay my parents a pittance every month, make payments on a single credit card, and put a little bit away into savings (and by a little bit I mean like $100/month, on average).
I love knowing that I give up almost all of my waking hours 5 days out of the week to a job that can't even house me, or feed me, or cover any of my actual basic needs. I still need to rely on others for that. I can't even do much for those I rely on because I don't have time to do anything for them because I spend all day at work.
I love that I am making around $18/hr and that's still nowhere near enough in an economy where food and gas is more expensive by the week, the shittiest apartments in my town start at $1,050/month for one bedroom, the few remaining low income housing options have been bought up by corporations who will simply wait out the remaining tenants and then bulldoze them to build more luxury apartments, there are no good options.
I love that I'm one medical emergency away from having no job, no money (what little I did have), and back to square one. It's so nice.
