The CD Mavica has been working pretty solid so far, but I just recorded a great little clip of my cat in it's medium quality 320x240 setting, and it played back perfectly once, and then after another powerup it will only play the first four seconds and then flashed "FILE ERROR" and cut off the rest of the video. Even copying to my PC over USB doesn't work. A tragedy to lose Good Kitty Content, and also another hint that the laser mechanism in this thing might be on its last legs...
That or it really hates these 210mb CD-RWs. Might finalize this one even without it being full just to try and recover that video and then stick one of the new 185mb CD-RWs I got in it, see if it plays nicer with those.
