I'm turning my brain in a knot trying to figure out what the hell model of handgun this is, it looks like either one of those early 1900s semi-autos with a really fat hammer assembly or like… a Sega Master System light gun???
He has reported back! Quote "Excel Arms Model Mp-17 .17 Hmr Semi-Auto Pistol W/ 2 Mags...No Reserve ..." which he says was one of the only automatic .17hmr pistols ever made, and that it was a big failure so that's why nobody ever recognizes it.
It was also featured in a YouTube video of his from 2008 that went slightly "viral" for the era he uploaded it, wherein he uses the same pistol to fucking obliterate an old magic 8 ball haha
