So how much of a massive fuck-you huge issue is flashing emergency/utility vehicle lights for people with epilepsy. I was just driving home this evening, long after sundown, and I guess they were doing maintenance on the road paint or something, but I had to come to a stop light right next to a parked truck with EXTREMELY bright and EXTREMELY flashing lights. Literally impossible to not see unless you just, like, closed your eyes. Even looking in the opposite direction you still see the light flashing in the passenger side window or reflecting off the car's interior. I imagine if I had severe epilepsy there would have just been No Possible Way to avoid a seizure in that scenario.
I've briefly considered the issue before but being in that situation really made me consider how pervasive it really is. It can just Happen To You without any consent, even in real life, simply because we as a society have decided all emergency vehicles need to be the brightest and strobingest things imaginable.
