so if you’re not a subscriber, as you scroll down the article it darkens the background (in light mode) until just at the edge of readability it slides a “subscribe now!” dialog into view, at which point you can click “shut the f up” and it’ll go back to normal. infuriating behaviour for a site whose main apparent purpose is to read things on
I mean, they did have to be dragged kicking and screaming into booting (some) Nazis off the site.
