because there's no algorithm here, your posts won't get randomly deplatformed because it's perceived by the algorithm weirdly/inaccurately. cohost is one of the only raw websites left, where shit doesn't Just Show Up when you don't want it to and your posts get shown to your followers in chronological order whether the post contents are about the intricacies of plant sex or just the words "Fuck TERFs"

also you can post girldick or boypussy and at worst, you'll just be told by staff to tag it as 18+ content in the future if you forgot to tag it. you won't get banned for posting transition timelines while wearing a dog collar, you won't get banned for being wrong about something, you won't get banned for posting a selfie wearing a puphood and you won't get banned for telling a TERF to go fuck themselves in the excruciatingly rare happenstance you end up finding one. (just remember to report them while you're at it, staff can't fix a problem they're not aware of.)
i have an afterdark page just because IRL friends follow me here and they don't necessarily wanna see my massive girldick, and i know i'm also very bad at adequately tagging my posts beyond applying the 18+ filter. but you also don't need an afterdark, either. if ya wanna post horny on main you can kinda just do that if you want. if your followers don't wanna see it, they can mute tags and either force a prompt before showing the post contents or reject the post from rendering on the timeline at all if it's tagged adequately.
as @Jama points out: since there's no algorithm, there's no way for staff to de-prioritize posts that link to off-site monetization.
link to your patreon, gofundme, paypal, cashapp, ko-fi or whatever else. mutual aid is pretty strong on this site, i'd argue it's stronger than others I've used. i also partake in mutual aid when i've ended up with more than i need from my own mutual aid requests.
