While going through various news about the Yuzu/Nintendo lawsuit, I stumbled upon this blog that I thought was quite interesting: https://blog.giovanh.com/blog/2023/11/21/how-nintendo-misuses-copyright/
Hadn't read anything else by this writer, but its a very compelling documentation of the ways in which Nintendo has been terrible about copyright over the years, and contained a lot of shit I did not know.
I did not know, for example, that it came out in a leak last year (incidental to the leak actually), that Nintendo basically has (or had) their own internal Pinkertons style team that they were using to track hack enablers down and threaten them into NDAs and such.
I have been going back and forth on if I ever want to support a Nintendo game financially again, and I think I have reached the point of just not being able to maintain the cognitive dissonance anymore.
