Recently got the same from my job of seven years. Called into work on a day I was scheduled to be out for a very important staff meeting, got some mumbling about team-building when I pointed out nobody else had heard of any such meeting, and found out what exactly the deal was when HR sent out a mass email about my last day. Won't exactly miss the remaining bozos there but otoh at this point I'd rather chew a limb off than write one more fuckin cover letter expressing insane levels of enthusiasm for the vague mission statement of some company I first heard of ten minutes ago
