If you're on the Pro version you can use the Local Group Policy Editor to turn off automatic updates entirely. I prefer this because I often go to personally check for updates when I'm just about done using the computer for the day because I'm weird like that, so it's not like my system ever gets dangerously out of date. Just, this way Windows won't fucking interrupt me in the middle of something and pester me about restarting RIGHT NOW.
