reminding everyone of my fav letter, the multiocular o (ꙮ). used in only one phrase: "серафими многꙮ҄читїи" (saruhpheemee mnohocheetyee) which translates to "many-eyed seraphim". literal real angel letter
a very important fact you should know about the multiocular o is that they accidentally got the number of circles wrong, but they're gonna fix it:
I feel like now that the seven-eyed O has indisputably been used in a far broader corpus of human text than the original ten-eyed O, it should get its own Unicode character
I enjoy how one scribe scraping some psalms onto birch bark in the ass end of medieval Russia had some fun with it once and now the Unicode Consortium has to deal with his bullshit. A nameless gremlin all-star.
the early modern era's answer to 🕴️ U+1F574 MAN IN BUSINESS SUIT LEVITATING, which Vincent Connare put into a freely-redistributable dingbat typeface Microsoft commissioned from him on a whim because he liked 2 Tone Records1 but then got immortalized as a concept when Microsoft migrated away from traditional dingbat fonts to using the emoticon block
