I hate that Discord is adding forums. You may be asking "why? they're good for organisation and present a more permanent and easily searchable format, aren't they?", to which I respond "no". We had forums before Discord and they're still far superior just for the fact that Google can index them. If a forum doesn't want a particular page indexed, they can just add the 'noindex' robots header.
Discord is just a bloated minibrowser built on top of far too many frameworks that exists to silo off communication from the internet at large and I hate it. Hate hate hate. Stop making Discord servers for technical support. Stop requiring I join yet another server just to download your mods. Do you know why people didn't do this with TeamSpeak or Skype? Because it's a terrible fucking idea and makes absolutely zero sense. Just use forums.
