A plot that the show has already done several times by this point - Kirk and co. defeat a villainous computer by confusing it to death - but the unique flavor brought to this story makes it stand out, taking itself far less seriously than previous variations, a much more light-hearted, silly episode.
Roger C. Carmel steals the show with his cartoonish, scenery-devouring performance as the interstellar con-man Harry Mudd. No wonder he made multiple appearances after this, and was even apparently brought back on Discovery, played by Rainn Wilson of all people.
And the ultimate resolution (spoilers, obviously), wherein the Enterprise crew plot to befuddle the androids with nonsensical jibberish, is just a delight to watch. Especially seeing Spock play along, handling nonexistent explosives with the utmost care and maintaining his serious, no-funny-business demeanor throughout.
Decent episode, cheesy fun. 7/10.
