Current Hyperfixation: Wizard of Oz

I use outdated technology just for fun, listen to crappy music, and watch a lot of horror movies. Expect posts about These Things. I talk a lot.

Check tags like Star Trek Archive and Media Piracy to find things I share for others.

On one hand, when you consider the amount of engineering that goes into tires and how much wear they're built to sustain, $144 per tire for something that's not absolute garbage is not that bad of a deal.

On the other hand I just spent over $350 getting my front two tires replaced (after spending $100 getting my oil changed) and I'm in physical agony.

I wish I didn't have to own a car to do anything, geez!

I had my oil changed, am currently having my front tires replaced, and will then have to drive to another town to get all my tires aligned, which will thankfully be the cheapest part of this nightmare, at $60.

Meanwhile if there was a robust public transit system in my area I could spent less in a whole year than I've spent just today :)
