I straight up did not know that these were different brands. I thought this was just a regional difference in naming/logo.
I only ever noticed the difference because my whole life I grew up with only Maruchan if we ever had ramen around, I just thought it was the only brand, until I saw packets of Top Ramen for the first time in, of all things, a Filthy Frank video, and went "hey that's not what ramen looks like what the hell is that"
