Received my Severin order today, including the 4K of Dario Argento's Opera. Perusing the special features, I forgot that the American trailer seriously ends with the tagline "The last note is a real killer." Why don't movies have advertising like that anymore
And while I'm on the subject I love that shot at 0:18 - any other filmmaker wouldn't bother with such detail for a "shooting someone through the peephole" scene, but Argento had his crew construct a whole ass scale model so he could film a pseudo-macro of the bullet shattering through the glass and passing through the tube. To follow that immediately with a far-away shot of the woman at the door falling as a phone in the foreground explodes from the bullet's impact, just I mean goddamn Dario Argento was one of the only ones to ever really do it.
