if I ever own my own coffee machine it'll be a Keurig with one of those reusable pods because when I do want coffee I never have more than a cup, it would be a waste to make a whole pot. A lot of my mutuals on here also seem to own espresso and/or cappucino machines and wow I could never have the patience haha

barista here: strongly recommend for single cup brewing doing a cheap pourover setup like a melita plus an electric kettle. cheaper, and better coffee at just a cup at a time
Seconded! I have a Hario and it gives you the possibility of making Very Good Coffee from fresh whole beans, but still works perfectly fine for pre-ground
I got fed up with how annoying it was to clean a drip coffee maker & have been French Press-only for a few years now.
Get a small 24-oz french press, grind 60 grams of coffee beans, make 18-20 oz of coffee. drink half today when it's fresh. microwave the second half tomorrow, clean the press instead of making a new pot. roughly 5-10 min of work every day for significantly better coffee than a keurig.
