zandra! i wanted to say that i have a lot of respect for you as a writer and that it's made me really happy to see you branch into some music as well. i hope to hear more going forward because finding a musical voice is a uniquely freeing thing, and i hope you're having fun!

I've always wanted to make music—as evidenced by the many, many garage bands I joined in my late teens/early adulthood as a singer—but learning an instrument always felt impossible, out of reach, reserved for other people who had the innate talent
now that I know that's total bullshit, I'm really glad I'm able to start learning something I've dreamed of all my life! even better, I get to do it without fussing about whether or not it'll be a productive use of my time, or profitable, or a side hussle or whatever—I'm doing this for myself. to make me happy.
