I plan on doing all the Star Trek films in the HEVC codec for my Archive project. Individual episodes can fit into the 1-2GB file size limits of Telegram just fine imo, but the films simply Will Not. When I get to the movies, I'll likely start paying for a Premium subscription just to up my upload limit to 4GB, and even then I'll still want the movies done in HEVC for that extra wiggle room.
Only problem is, I'm approaching the films pretty quickly at my current pace. Essentially, if I don't have my PC fully upgraded by the end of this month, I'll have to start doing those HEVC encodes on my fucking laptop. With it's 2014 quad-core i7 chip. It will genuinely probably take about 15-20 hours per movie to encode those to HEVC.
So I'm probably gonna stop spending money on anything else in the coming month. No more disc purchases or anything, it'll all have to wait.
