Finally watched Wild Blue Yonder with the family tonight, and wow, that was actually fucking awesome. A big step up from The Star Beast in my opinion. Gives time for the characters (and by extension the audience) to breathe and is also some top tier RTD style cosmic psychological horror that presses right up against the limits of what you can call family friendly. Absolutely loved it.
