damn logitech!!! you sure are churning out those GOOD updates. great stuff! very gamer! definitely higher priority than [checks notes] adding an option to disable the fucking DPI notification popups that go into the windows notification system so if you change your mouse DPI three clicks you have to wait FIFTEEN SECONDS for them to stop popping up and making stupid fucking dinging noises unless you turn off all notifications so you don't know when your battery is dying. BUT I MEAN, THAT'S JUST A MINOR COMPLAINT, AND SO HARD TO FIX
THE FUNNY THING IS HOW THIS IS LITERALLY A TWO-LINE FIX AND IF IT ISN'T, THEY'RE SO INCOMPETENT THEY SHOULD GO BANKRUPT
their software always (almost?) behaves like malware so i never install it. i'll trust unsigned third party drivers from the dark web before i trust a line of code from logitech.
and yet, logitech is the only company that produces a mouse that fits my needs.
luckily, it works just fine with generic/third party drivers.
Logi Options+ has never dinged me with useless bullshit but what it has done is do a bad job at applying my custom settings on the fly, so my mouse sensitivity will suddenly spike to a useless level, but before I can go open their stupid app to see what happened, it'll go back to normal again.
Also I bought both a Logitech keyboard and mouse intending to make use of their unified receiver thing so I only need one dongle... only to get them home and realize the mouse and keyboard are on two different generations of their unified receiver and the newer one isn't backwards compatible with the older one, which kinds ruins the fucking point, so now I still need two dongles anyways and I think they've got crosstalk issues because they're sporadically inconsistent (like my keyboard losing its shit maybe once a week) despite the dongles being maybe 5 feet from the peripherals.
But I mean they're a decent mouse and keyboard overall...?
