Just found the COMPLETE score to The Polar Express on Internet Archive (albeit MP3 only) and I'm fucking alive.
The 2004 soundtrack album only has like half of the music Alan Silvestri actually composed - a depressing trend with OST albums for musicals is to totally neglect the actual composed score severely. Apparently though there was at least one 2-CD release from 2013 that included everything and god it's so nice to finally hear.
it still plays in my head rent free every holiday season.

composed by ¾ of Goblin, a band that was already broken up but Argento basically forced them to come together again to work on this OST, and you know what I think he was right to do so.
