Current Hyperfixation: Wizard of Oz

  • He/Him

I use outdated technology just for fun, listen to crappy music, and watch a lot of horror movies. Expect posts about These Things. I talk a lot.

Check tags like Star Trek Archive and Media Piracy to find things I share for others.

Thank god someone had the good sense to give this masterpiece the HD treatment! Just as funny as the day 16 year old me saw it in the cinema. RIP to a legend Rik!

daily knowledge: today, "pull down to refresh" is a ubiquitous gesture in almost all mobile and touchscreen UIs. this concept first appeared in a 3rd party twitter client called Tweetie. this client was developed by Loren Brichter and released in 2008 for iOS and Mac OSX, and was so good that it was bought by Twitter in 2010 to become the basis for the official Twitter app. Brichter worked at the company until 2011, and in 2013, Twitter was finally granted a patent on the gesture, which they promised to only use "defensively."
