Fascinated by this strangely artsy photo at the end of the Wikipedia page for single room occupancy housing. As described by the original photographer on Flickr:
this is a vacant single room occupancy suite that i encountered on my census duties.
the man sitting in the window, with the broken leg, resting on a dog, is the maintenance worker for his SRO hotel.
he says you have to rip out the drywall and floor after every tenant from the abuse the room takes.
the picture is from an iphone, so i needed to do some editing to bring out the information otherwise lost in the dark, and in so doing, gave this image a weird aged color bleeding silver print look.
