Mais il n'y a rien là pour la Science. Editor, New York Review of Wasps.

Rechost this 1987 Papa Told Me panel to let your mutuals despair about the state of public transit.

If in the extremely remote chance that the person currently reading this works at Shueisha in any capacity related to translation rights I am speaking directly to you right now as I need you to greenlight an official English release of Papa Told Me. Will it sell? I won’t lie to you, probably not, it may be an extraordinarily humane and well-written story of a child learning to navigate the worlds of the adults around her but it’s not terribly well known in the U.S. and I don’t know how many copies a “By the author of Pieta!” sticker on the front is going to sell. However you must understand that the scanlation that presently exists for chapter four onwards is pretty dire and I am not yet good enough at French to read the official French translation that of course exists. I can promise you that you will sell at least one copy, and I promise that I’ll try to get my local library to buy one too. Do we have a deal? Great, let’s talk again next time I post a panel from Nanae’s even less saleable Double House and I ask for the exact same thing.
