Future Perfect

obviously "I told those clown comics to fix their hearts or die" is a great line on its own but it's so weird to see people use it in an unironically affirming, truth-to-power sense when the original context is a man inducing a trans woman who is nominally his superior to place an agent he's attracted to on a case with him by reminding her that her legitimacy in the organization is reliant on his previous (and implicatorily future) willingness to intercede on her behalf with the good 'ol boy power structure
