God used to be way more into inscribing laws onto stone tablets. Everybody talks about the ones He did for Moses but there was a time when He'd engrave basically anything. I turned over a fist-sized stone in a river yesterday and it said something about Ashurnasirpal II. The letters were all filled with algae.
