@sedge asked:

what are your favorite 32-bit games for Mac OS X versions up to and including 10.14 Mojave?

[for those just tuning in: valve announced that they will end support for steam on mac os 10.14 on feb. 15, 2024--the last version of mac os to support 32-bit apps]

Here are my favorite games that (a) have been released for Mac OS X and (b) have never been (and probably never will be) ported to 64-bit:

Choose how many arguments you get in with hitchhikers as you drive through the political powder-keg of '70s Italy.

One of the best visual novels. Piece through the archives of a 25th century deep-space generation ship, full of the real and vital details of people's lives, their triumph, their despairs, their quiet domesticities--all with the knowledge that inescapable tragedy awaits for every soul on board.

You have to go to work. And there's the skull.

B-movie aesthetic, bizarre challenges, and an utter commitment to goofiness make this game about driving a rotating limousine a real charmer despite occasionally frustrating gameplay. Also it has FMV??

A fun and very simple platformer where you bicycle around delivering mail! Cute with a definite "Macintosh System 7" feel. Soft Dorothy Software could've put this out in 1994.

This one's actually already broken on OS 10.14. You should still find a way to play it.
