It's good that radios work because otherwise it would have been hard to talk to moon astronauts. Mr. Houston would have had to yell really loudly and it probably would have hurt his voice. Plus even then it would sound all muffled through the moon suits. Sending a letter also difficult. Because mail trucks get bad traction on lunar regolith.
