This is a small winter stonefly in the genus Allocapnia, though there isn't a ton of readily accessible info on these guys, so I wouldn't be confident enough to guess at a species. I caught sight of them trying to burrow into some snow. I was very excited to see an active insect after not seeing a living bug outside for a while. It was roughly 33-35°F, very heavy, dense and wet snow, all in all very easy to spot, very noticeable bug, 10/10. 1/23/24
