Watching the Een schitterend ongeluk interview with Stephen Jay Gould; the interview with Gould is of course in English but as it’s a Dutch public television program the voiceover is long strings of Dutch rolling on and on interspersed every so often with THE NEW YORK YANKEES and mentions of de honkballer JOE DIMAGGIO

Very much enjoying how Gould appears to have agreed to show up on this program mostly to accuse the interviewer of being a romantic with idealized views on the scientific process.
Also I learned that the Dutch for “endorphin rush” is “endorfinestoot”
Gould is now talking about Back to the Future Part II.
