As soon as I found out about janissaries from adult swim I made my mom drive me to the mall so I could buy a shirt with one on it
Conning over the display of börks at the Party City to find the one for my favorite character, a boy who wants to become the ağa of his janissary village. "İnanın!" I shout as I find it, shoving it over my lank hair and jannisary-running down the aisles as my mother resignedly heads to the front of the store, checkbook in hand.
