Instagram has started serving me all the “gender neutral” brands and what’s worse is that sometimes i like the clothes. deeply upsetting
oh my god, have they actually evolved beyond the burlap sack look
as a rough estimate of the ads i receive, about 70% are the boxy tshirts in taupe and tan we know and love, but around 30% are actually kind of good gothy shit? I assume this is a skewed sample of the market, however. very mixed feelings on this, as I grapple with “wow, clothes I can wear!” and “ah fuck, i’m a market category now”
Always fun to think about how unscrupulous corporations know that i'm queer, in addition to knowing everything else about me. sure hope that data doesn't become valuable to someone sometime soon. haha.
