in the spirit of not looking down on everyone I wish to say that people who try to arrange general strikes by posting "okay, two weeks from now is the big day!" on social media
are naive and probably a little privileged to not understand how much even one missed day means to someone who lives paycheck to paycheck - but also impressively unbroken by the system and I hope they get help channeling that energy and privilege into more effective actions and not just smacked down until by age 30 they perceive corporate capitalism as synonymous with objective reality
and a large part of my frustration with this kind of activism is not just "look, a person who is Obviously Wrong" but envy that they have so much hope and resistance in them, and fear that it could go to waste
