and the justification is "it's widely known that facial tattoos make you unemployable, so to get them anyway shows poor judgement, so you see it's really your judgement employers are concerned about"
I don't even have tattoos but this circular reasoning applies to so many damn things about Professionalism
from now on I'm only hiring people with the self-assurance and commitment to get a facial tattoo
All of "professionalism" is just did you do the secret handshake they teach at Harvard.
tbf at a lower level it is just are you white or can you pretend you are
most of the hiring process is not based on "Are you a good fit for the job?" it's more like a list of excuses to NOT hire you, and then they hope that of the people who make it out the other side it's easy to pick one to hire.
