needed to get my vaccination records from the state but the form requires me to know what sex the vaccination provider entered into my record
and literally all four are possible! it says M on my license so maybe it's male. but medical providers can get very "but how will the doctor know you have a uterus???" so they could have entered female. or they may have considered being trans to be "other." or they may have punted and entered "unknown."
anyway I got it on the sixth try, I was entered as female and my name was recorded as "Holly Clifford [Lastname]"
it's important that we have this system, though, in order to protect the privacy of people who have the exact same name and phone number and birthdate but different genders
