Astounding. I never liked the bit with the steering wheel spinning into the camera at the end of the climactic crash, because it's pretty much the only thing in the whole film that looks fake, and it kind of tarnishes the whole shot. I feel that all the more strongly after watching this and seeing the stunt driver actually roll the fucking rig.

Same, and even the guitar before it feels a little fakey too.

There's even better quality footage of the real crash in this video and honestly it plays out perfectly, right down to the mud hitting the camera lens at the end which would also make a good transition to black.

(I wonder what the concern was, actually? Maybe the shot takes a little too long to play out to that point but didn't look right speed-ramped? Or they wanted to cut it before an amp jostles the camera, but that's pretty easily fixed. More likely they just wanted to end it on something hyperbolically cool-looking and slightly overshot the mark.)
