Not to derail but I always forget that of course people in other parts of the world would have put the Ozone Hole further out of their minds than we do here

almost none of the schools touched it while it was a problem iirc. or after it was solved, or etc. just TV shows and news and very little of those, but all of the cartoons focused on it, and thus two decades of re-runs. maybe because They Knew The Schools Weren't
