the entity running this blog has previously stated and given impressions that it was plural

it has been working through some stuff and is now rethinking this

unless new experiental-evidence about its cognitive structure should arise, it doesn't think plural is the most appropriate term anymore, and doesn't think it can necessarily claim plural.

upon closer analysis it would seem that it does not have a multiplicity of consciousness. it does appear to have a multiplicity of identity, for example with the using-a-lot-of-names thing (some names may feel more or less resonant at different times), but it is realizing that these two experiences are likely distinct, at least in this case.

the entity running this blog would like to apologize in case anyone feels misled or disrespected. even though it was well-intentioned in identifying as plural in the past and did so out of genuine belief, it feels some discomfort and possibly guilt at having made a misstep in self-identification. that is probably, in itself, something to process and work through.

assuredly, it still has some neurodiverse attributes, and is not "the same type of thing" as neurotypical minds in a fair number of ways. it considers it may be neither a singlet nor plural but... "noncount?" like a liquid substance rather than a solid object/objects. perhaps this is overthinking, though.

the entity running this blog thanks you for reading.

in reply to @phantasmaCora's post:

identity/labels can be a tricky thing to figure out, so missteps are pretty understandable- you don't have to be hard on yourself about it ^^ (or, it doesn't have to be hard on itself, whichever applies)

a label doesn't really have to be earned (people/entities can't really be unable to claim labels), labels can simply be used if they describe one's self adequately, and if they don't fit, then they can be freely dropped from usage, no problem :eggbug-smile-hearts:

please forgive me if i'm wrong (and feel free to ignore this part), but i believe it's possible to consider a "multiplicity of identity" to still be a type of plurality (clinical plurality is often called "dissociative identity disorder" after all), so it just depends on if the term/label "plurality" feels like it fits or not,, sdkfjgdk sorry if that's not helpful

i hope things are going well!
