A doll guarding a combat doll.
The combat doll definitely doesn't need the protection (and the doll would honestly get in the way if a fight broke out) (nor can the combat doll remember an order being given to the doll to protect it) -
But the doll insists!
The doll thinks the combat doll is worth protecting!
The declaration hits a soft spot in the combat doll's core.
It didn't think of it that way.
It didn't think of itself as something being worth protecting.
It suddenly can't argue back.
The combat doll receives a communiqué from its Witch. It's going to be deployed for an extended duration. Again. "This is fine. Really..." it thinks to itself, "Such is this one's Purpose, after all..."
The little doll guarding it suddenly leaps into action. "Code Fuschia! This one repeats, we have a Code Fuschia!" she cries out, holding a hand to her ear as if she were wearing a headpiece, but there was none to be seen nor any radio transmission that the combat doll could detect.
Suddenly, dozens of little dolls materialize as if from out of thin air. None of them even registered on the combat doll's sensorium until they were within visible range. Where they had come from, it couldn't even begin to guess.
Finding itself surrounded on all sides by entities of unknown intention, the combat doll freezes, unsure whether to propose a tea party or a T.E.A. party. The dolls take advantage of its momentary freeze to literally get the jump on it, vaulting into the air. There are simply too many targets from too many angles for the combat doll to take down all at once without unacceptable collateral damage.
The first one makes impact and... hugs the combat doll...? With a series of clinks, clanks, and cuddly pomfs, the combat doll finds itself hugged from every angle by dozens of fearless little dolls, despite the fact that it could disintegrate them all with nary a thought were it so inclined.
"See?" the little guard doll says, a smug warmth filling her voice. "This one told you she would guard you. You guard this one's being and this one will guard your heart."
Suddenly, the combat doll didn't mind the idea of deployment quite so much.
