furiously self-conscious about everything

it's gotta be the most ADHD-unfriendly chore there is.

There are so many different steps, irregularly spaced, with enough time in between each one that it's easy to get distracted and forget you were ever doing laundry in the first place. Which, you know, that would be fine if I could just set it, forget it, and pick up the next step whenever it occurred to me.

But no! There's a time limit! Forget about it for too long and you have to start over because your clothes get all funky. Sometimes I end up washing the same load of laundry like, 2 or 3 times over several days because I keep forgetting I was doing laundry in the first place.
