Tomorrow morning I’ll be making my first post-op trip to the grocery store to stock up on supplies, and my doctor’s more-or-less cleared me for home-cooking meals, so I’m calling this the end of my two-week streak of ordering in. Thanks to the overwhelming support of my partners, pack, friends, roommates, and a couple of strangers, not only was my surgery completely paid for, but so were all of the meals pictured above.
I don’t know what else to say. Thank you all, again, so, so much. 💚
I only recently learned how to cook a steak — simple recipe, buttered cast-iron skillet with some salt and pepper for seasoning, four minutes each side, finish in the oven — and the entire process is really enriching. I just wish steaks weren’t so damn expensive, and cast-iron skillets weren’t such a pain in the ass to clean.
