If you like this sort of rolling grassland interspersed with mature oaks, Henry Coe is your place! It's actually a good season for it now, if a bit tricky with how short the days are. Rain brings mud, then bugs, and then it's HOT. Early winter is my favorite time to go!

100%… this general time of year is one of my faves for inland east bay hiking (minus the fact that I can no longer hike after work and have to plan weekends out a bit more with the light). I think I’ll try and slip in a trip down to Henry Coe in the coming weeks, thanks for the tips
